The third edition of the Mar Menor Games, promoted by the Union of Sports Federations of the Region of Murcia includes competitions, exhibitions, baptisms, and tournaments of more than 60 sports that are practiced in the Region.
The Park of the Sea Kings of Spain, the beaches of Villananitos and La Puntica, the esplanade of Lo Pagán, and the Center of Nautical Activities are hosting this weekend, Saturday 6 and Sunday, October 7, the third edition of the Sea Menor Games with tournaments, exhibitions, championships and simultaneous activities in disciplines such as horse riding, fishing, beach tennis, water polo, kayak polo, scuba diving, sailing, canoeing, cycling, boxing, judo, rhythmic and aesthetic gymnastics, archery, orientation, etc. .
This initiative is held for the third time, was born with the aim of reclaiming the destination of the Mar Menor as the ideal place for sports throughout the year, being a showcase of the great diversity of sports in the Region of Murcia .
Today Saturday, the venues have received the visit of different authorities, among which were, the mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, the sports councilor of the town, Javier Castejón, part of the municipal corporation and several directors general of the Region, such as Fran Sánchez, of Juventud, Mirian Pérez, of Familia and Antonio Luengo del Mar Menor, demonstrating institutional support for actions such as this that help promote both the sport and the Mar Menor.
In addition to the purely sporting, there are also parallel leisure activities, such as the FeriaSport organized by the University of Murcia for the little ones;
activities also framed in the University Welcome party, traditional games, masterclass, laser tag or batting tunnel.
