The Allegro festival kicks off its second edition claiming the role of women in music (12/10/2018)

The Cultural Hall of Cajamurcia in San Pedro del Pinatar hosted the inaugural concert 'En clave femenino', by the cellist Irene Ortega Albaladejo, which also reminded the work of Encarnación Pozo, first local music teacher.

The second edition of the festival of music in urban spaces Allegro started yesterday with an inaugural concert 'En clave feminine', by the cellist and international concertist, Irene Ortega.

The act began with a recognition of the contribution of women in the world of music.

Thus, the mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martinez, paid tribute to Encarnación Pozo, first local music teacher, who worked actively during the second half of the 20th century in the promotion of local culture, as a teacher and as a teacher. interpreter.

The public of the Cajamurcia Culture Classroom was able to enjoy after the concert by Irene Ortega, who reviewed the work of outstanding composers from the 17th to the 20th centuries.

2 in D minor, Prelude, Sarabande and Giga, by Johan Sebastian Bach (1685 1750), to follow Claude Debussy;

author honored at the festival for the centenary of his death, with La Flûte de Pan (Syrinx).

This inaugural concert gives way on Saturday, October 13 to the second edition of Allegro, an initiative that takes to the streets some of the most outstanding orchestras and instrumental ensembles in the Region, also offering, in each of the concerts, a gastronomic tasting paired with drinks typical of the Region.

The tour will start at the hour of the aperitif, at 12:00, with a Chamber Vermouth, in the Plaza Luis Molina (in front of the Town Hall), with the concert of the Katharsis Saxophones Quartet, as well as a small gastronomic sample of Pedrín Bakery , paired with vermouth and craft beer from the Nomadic Oasis.

The music will then be transferred to the San José Park at 4:30 p.m., with the historic café, where the ARS NOVA choir, under the direction of the soprano Teresa Albero, will delight us with an evening concert of Argentine tints, accompanied by a string training and the bandoneonist Francisco Martínez.

In this case the person in charge of accompanying the performance with a fabulous coffee will be the Soldadito de Plomo (coffees & pastries).

The closure of Allegro, the symphonic wine, will be at 21:30 in front of the Barón de Benifayó Museum, with a concert by the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Cartagena that will present its own production of "El Amor Brujo" by Manuel de Falla, under the musical direction of Álvaro Pintado and the stage direction of Antonio García Vázquez.

In addition, they will have the special participation of Granada-born cantaora Ana Monchón in the role of Candela and dancer Mercedes Carrillo.

This festival, which aims to bring music and culture to the streets and squares of the town for the enjoyment of all, is organized by the Department of Culture and has the sponsorship of Obra Social La Caixa.
