The new sports boulevard has a large calisthenics circuit with dozens of elements that allows users to complete a workout.
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, together with the councilors of Parks and Gardens and Sports, Ángela Gaona and Javier Castejón, respectively, visited today the facilities of the new sports boulevard on Avenida del Puerto.
During the morning an inaugural day was celebrated with the support of the personnel of the Department of Sports that has offered information on the different elements of this space to the users.
The Mayoress, Visitación Martínez, highlighted the quality and diversity of the elements that make up this new space, which becomes an outdoor gym, in the surroundings of the Salinas and Arenales de San Pedro Natural Park and very close to the Paseo de La Mota, areas frequented by hundreds of people for sports.
Visitación Martínez explained that the City Council has prepared this green area with the creation of a sports area, with various fitness and calisthenics circuits to offer an alternative for outdoor sports, this project being also endowed with a close budget at 100,000 euros, the winner of the participatory budgets of 2018, which chose 33.3% of the people from Pinatare who participated in this process.
The new Sports Boulevard has a complete sports equipment that includes a training area with bar networks and rings, jumping caissons, benches to perform crunches, parallel bars, multifunction structures, trellis, agility circuit, etc.
In addition, each device is complemented by a detailed information panel that explains what exercises can be performed and which part of the body works with them, in addition, they include a QR code through which explanatory videos can be viewed.
