San Pedro del Pinatar closes the triathlon season with its third edition of the popular triathlon (08/09/2019)

The triathlon season of the Triathlon Federation of the Region of Murcia put the finishing touch on yesterday afternoon, with the celebration of the third San Pedro del Pinatar Popular Triathlon, which gathered 169 participants divided into the different disputed categories.

This is a test in which the promotion of this sport is sought in which participants must complete 300 meters of swimming, in the Municipal Summer Pool "Virgen del Carmen", 10 kilometers of cycling and 2 kilometers of running by the cross circuit of the coastal municipality.

Several categories were distinguished distinguishing between male and female federated and non-federated, as well as those of minors of Cadet, Infant, Alevín, Benjamín and Prebenjamín, feminine and masculine.

The federated men's classification was led by Carmelo Abraham Selma, of the CT Laboratories SYS, who signed a time of 31 minutes and 27 seconds, followed by the triathlete of the CT Aguilas Primaflor, Domingo Carrillo, with 32 minutes and 37 seconds, and David Suárez , from La 208 Triathlon Club, which made a time of 33 minutes and 17 seconds.

As for the male NO Federated, Juan Carlos Andrino was the fastest marking a time of 33 minutes and 48 seconds, followed by Jaime González with 33 minutes and 51 seconds, and Alfredo Marín with 34 minutes and 15 seconds.

As for the women's competition, the classification of the federated women was led by Ana Fernández, of the Águilas Primaflor CT, who crossed the finish line in 37 minutes and 52 seconds, followed by María Dolores Noguera, of the Guerrita Alcantarilla Triathlon with 41 minutes and 27 seconds, and María Carmen Villaescusa, of the CT Tragamillas Ciclos Vicea Mercaluz, who signed a time of 42 minutes and 45 seconds.

In the NO Federadas, Andrea García was the fastest stopping the clock in 36 minutes and 37 seconds, followed by Marina Castillejo with 38 minutes and 10 seconds, and María Carmen Ferrándiz with 41 minutes and 31 seconds.

Children's Triathlon

In the categories of Minors, the Cadet Masculina classification was led by Pedro de la Torre, of the Triaspe Sports Club, which made a time of 30 minutes.

On the other hand, the triathlete of the CT Arabí Yecla Catlike, Isabel María Navarro, was the fastest in the Female Cadet category, with a time of 34 minutes and 3 seconds.

In Infantil Masculino, Pablo León, from EDM Caravaca de la Cruz, was the fastest marking a 28-minute and 58-second clock, while in the Women's Infant category, he was the winner Eva María Sánchez, of the Cartagena Triathlon Club, with a goal time of 33 minutes and 32 seconds.

In Alevín Masculino, the winner was Alejandro López, of the EDM Caravaca de la Cruz, with a time of 18 minutes and 16 seconds, while the triathlete of the Tritones Murcia Sport Club, Isabel Blanco, was the winner of the Alevín Feminine category, with a time of 19 minutes and 43 seconds.

The next competition of the Triathlon Federation of the Region of Murcia will be the Cross Molinos de Marfagones Duathlon with which the Regional Cross Duathlon League opens on Saturday, September 14.

Registration is still open until Tuesday, September 10, for both absolute and minor categories.
