Leroy Merlin will open stores in 4 new cities before the end of the year (02/10/2019)

The remodeling of these points of sale has meant an investment of approximately 6.5 million euros.

Leroy Merlin will open four stores located in San Pedro del Pinatar, Palencia, Vic and Ciudad Real throughout the fourth quarter of 2019.

These points of sale are the result of the integration between Leroy Merlin and AKI, effective since January 1 and which will culminate in 2020, and its remodeling has meant an investment of approximately 6.5 million euros.

The union under a single business structure has enabled a multi-format model focused on the customer.

In this way, the characteristic format of Leroy Merlin is joined by three new store concepts, according to their specialization and breadth: LEROY MERLIN URBAN, LEROY MERLIN COMPACT, LEROY MERLIN PROJECT.

The stores in San Pedro del Pinatar, Palencia, Vic and Ciudad Real will operate under the “COMPACT” concept that offers a wide selection of products that will make the purchase more comfortable, as well as a personalized service to specify ideas and projects about the home.

Leroy Merlin COMPACT San Pedro del Pinatar (Murcia) will open on October 30 and will have a commercial area of ​​more than 2,400m2.

Also, this store will have a workforce of around 50 people and will create about 20 indirect jobs.

For its part, Leroy Merlin COMPACT Palencia will open its doors on October 31.

With more than 2,800m2 of commercial area, it will have a workforce of around 50 people and create 20 indirect jobs.

Regarding Leroy Merlin COMPACT Vic (Barcelona), this point of sale is scheduled to open on November 6.

Vic has an area close to 2,200 m2 and a workforce of around 45 people, in addition, it will create 15 indirect jobs.

Finally, Leroy Merlin COMPACT Ciudad Real will open on November 13 with more than 2,400 m2.

In this way, its workforce will consist of approximately 50 people and will create 20 indirect jobs.

In this way, Leroy Merlin consolidates itself as a leader in home conditioning, adapting to the needs of customers.

In addition, the digital transformation will continue to be strengthened to accompany consumers through a unique omnichannel experience, regardless of the store format, since all of them will have access to the entire Leroy Merlin catalog on request.
