The Councillor for Citizen Participation, Fuensanta Garcia, accompanied by the technical area, Eva González, presented this morning the act "Older Thank you" to be held in San Pedro del Pinatar on 26 July, Grandparents Day.

It is, explained the mayor, an extension project of intergenerational participation "Bank of Wisdom" project designed to treasure the memories of our ancestors, the living history of our town, "with the involvement of young people in our town ".

Thus, on 26 July, Grandparents Day, "will make this tribute to all participants of Crusades memories and all our elders, with the video presentation Thank Older"

In this video, nine local youths, representatives of IES Manuel Tárraga, IES Dos Mares and St. Peter the Apostle, will appreciate the greater wisdom transmitted to new generations and to recognize their generosity in sharing their life stories as heritage all pinatarenses.

For its part, the technician Citizen Participation stressed that the activities organized to celebrate Grandparents Day, are completed with the opening of the exhibition of the "Fundamental Rights of the European Union", of the Directorate General for Citizen Participation , European Union and external action of the Region of Murcia which adds to the acts of grandparents day with the commemoration of the 30 years of Spain in the European Union.
