The City Council has begun work on this park, with a budget of 57,940 euros, which occupies more than 1,047 square meters and will have a children's play area and different green spaces.
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, and the councilor of Parks and Gardens, Angela Gaona, visited today the start of the works of the new green zone, together with the heads of the company awarded the project, TOB Architecture.
The work in this area, which is located on Avenida de Las Salinas, in front of the health center, will consist of the adaptation of spaces with planting of different tree species, children's playground, free spaces and the execution of a low wall protection.
So, this week have begun the work of demolition and leveling of the land.
Later the renovation of pavements and pavements of sidewalks will be carried out, rearranging the spaces and adapting them to the project.
The park, which has a deadline of two months, will combine inclined and flat green areas, a children's play area, and will be completed with various urban furniture, such as streetlights, benches, litter bins, etc.
The mayor has highlighted the importance of this work, as it responds to a historic demand of the residents of the area and implements a new green area on one of the busiest roads in the town.
