Workshops of crafts, days of open doors in the Children's Park of traffic, theater of puppets, animation to the reading, sport activities or a radio program, are some of the activities programmed on the occasion of Children's Day, which is celebrated the next 20 of November.
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitación Martínez, and the Councilor for Social Welfare, Francisca Pelegrín, today presented the activities scheduled by the city council on the occasion of Children's Day, which will be held on November 20.
Visitación Martínez explained that the City Council works transversally on the protection and development of children and adolescents, through programs and activities of various councils whose objective is their integral development and their active participation in the society of Pinar del Rio.
Some actions that have recently been completed with the approval in the last plenary session of the regulation for the constitution of the Municipal Council for Children and Adolescents, a new organ for citizen participation that aims to give a voice to the children and young people of the municipality, collecting their demands and interests.
Regarding the specific programming of Children's Day, which is celebrated on November 20, has highlighted that the image of these activities is the winning drawing of the I School Drawing Contest "I know my rights", aimed at children knowing the content of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and in which 183 third and fourth grade students have participated.
The student Irene Rico Victoria, fourth grade of New Castelar College has been the winner of this first edition, while the second prize went to Mar María Ciernoli Ioneta, CBM Los Pinos, and Ariana Myshel Cuenca Valarezo, CBM Maspalomas.
ACTIVITY PROGRAM
For its part, the Councilor for Social Welfare has detailed that the program will start on Friday, November 17, with a workshop of handicrafts and face painting, with Disney characters, organized by the departments of Education and Celebrations, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm hours in the Plaza de la Constitución.
On Saturday, November 18, there will be an open day at the Children's Traffic Park, organized by the Council of Public Safety, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and at 6:00 p.m. there will be a children's theater "La Habichuela mágica", from titeremurcia, at the Casa de la Cultura.
On Monday, November 20, International Children's Day, will be held the 1st Sports playday, with cooperative games at the Los Antolinos school, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., an activity that in future editions will take place in other colleges
The Plaza Luis Molina, in front of the City Hall, will host that day a special program of Radio Pinatar, where children and adolescents from various educational centers will be given a voice, from 11:00 to 12:00, followed by the reading of the manifesto official and the awards ceremony of the drawing contest "I know my rights."
The activities will conclude on Tuesday, November 21, with the reading animation workshop "You too, Sara!", Energized by Sara Martinez and organized by the Department of Culture, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm in the library municipal.
