The Councilor for Culture, Siliva Egea, the president of the Friends of Museums Association, Marcos David Gracia, and the curator of this collection, Darío Villegas, inaugurated on Thursday, December 21, the exhibition of Murcian Painters of the 19th and 20th centuries , which can be seen at the Barón de Benifayó Museum until January 17.
Silvia Egea thanked the promoter of this exhibition for its commitment to the municipality, allowing the people of Pinata to enjoy an exhibition of great artistic level.
On the other hand, Darío Villegas, has indicated that the exhibition of Murcian painters of the nineteenth and twentieth century includes works by the best regional authors, among which stand out names such as Ramón Gaya, Molina Sánchez, Pedro Flores, Hernández Carpe, Avellaneda or Gómez Cano , among others.
It is a total of 40 works by 24 Murcian artists from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries, mainly composed of paintings, although you can also see two sculptures by Campillo.
A journey through the Murcian art of the last centuries hand in hand with the works of its main protagonists.
An extensive collection, conceived to be admired and also acquired, since the different works that are part of the collection are for sale, collecting a wide range of both prices and formats, Villegas pointed out.
