The schools of the municipality celebrate the day of La Paz 2018 with solidarity activities (31/01/2018)

The educational centers of San Pedro del Pinatar have made several solidarity actions throughout the week for the benefit of associations such as the Red Cross, This does not stop, Save de Children or Feel Gambia, and have worked in the classrooms values ​​such as friendship, respect and nonviolence.

On the occasion of the Day of Peace, the schools of San Pedro del Pinatar have developed various activities with the aim of transmitting values ​​among school children such as tolerance, solidarity and respect for others.

In addition, schools have collaborated with NGOs that work to mitigate inequalities from different areas such as actions with children, distribution of food, etc.

Among other activities, charity careers were held in several educational centers, such as Los Pinos, to benefit the association "Esto No se Para", which through sports and the promotion of values ​​such as effort and improvement, carries out different humanitarian actions in Ethiopia.

At the New Castelar College center there was also a race to benefit Siente Gambia, which develops different projects in this African country, and Las Esperanzas joined the Save the Children initiative, making donations to bring drinking water to children of South Sudan, in addition to a radio program in which slogans were transmitted in favor of peace.

In Maspalomas, the activity of Zumba por la Paz was carried out, with the collaboration of the Pinatar Arena sports center, as well as the reading of a manifesto and the creation of a collective mural.

The school also collected more than 225 kilos of food for the Red Cross food bank.

At the Los Antolinos school the song "Bajo el mismo sol" was danced and phrases were recited in favor of Peace and Nonviolence, Number 1 Children's School made a mural with the hands of its small students, and the San Pedro Center Apostle made striking figures in the courtyard with the students, who also performed a song aimed at fostering respect and camaraderie.

For its part, the school Villa Alegría held a day of Yoga for peace and the school Nuestra Señora del Carmen worked the letter that the Indian chief Seattle sent to the US president in 1854, reading and interpreting fragments of it, as well as creating Rain sticks with phrases relating to peace and dance the song "Ani Kuni".
