About thirty comparsas participated in the Grand Carnival parade that ended in the municipal tent, where awards were given to the best comparsas in various categories.
The streets of San Pedro del Pinatar once again hosted the Grand Carnival Parade, which departed at 5:00 pm from the car park attached to the Condesa Villar de Felices Park and which was followed by hundreds of people all the way to the municipal tent, where the prizes were given to the local comparsas and visitors.
The African rhythms of the numerous Ballet Kebanna troupe opened the parade, followed by the small smurfs of CAI El Palmeral, of the protagonists of the Lady Bug adventure series at Los Pinos school and the patriotic costumes of the elderly of the pensioner's home. the Comparsa Años Dorados, in which a fun Puigdemont slipped.
Also participating in the parade was the veteran comparsa Como que quieras, this year dressed as wizards and bunnies, the English-speaking ADAPT association as anti-flu monodose to fight the viruses, and the Vikings from the Dragon Boat team that came with their canoe to conquer the lands of Patagonia.
They closed the participation of local comparsas Glamorous Stars with an elegant dress in which the blue and the feathers predominated, the sponges of the juvenile correspondents, the disco rhythm of the new compañera De Pelo Gueno, and the spectacularity of The New Wave of the Mar Menor .
Kimbara opened the procession of invited troupes with a striking fantasy in which rose and gold stood out, followed by the uniformed air of the pheasant troupe, the green elegance of Carmen Romero's ballet and the golden flashes of Mahula.
The sea creatures inspired the comparsa Yemanyá, followed by the delicate mallow of Rosazul, the spectacular dragons of Shambhala, the tribal inspiration of Goddesses of the dance and the Egyptian sphinxes of Media Luna, members that Perseus opted for a fantasy in pink and blue and Chari Lajara's ballet wore striking costumes with a huge tail covered with roses.
The silver spectacular of the components of Tymbalia, the trip to the colors of India of Nuevo Encanto and the Fantasy Platinium of Guakará inspired by royalty.
AWARDS
After the parade, the mayor of the town, Visitación Martínez, and the councilman of Celebrations, Javier Castejón, delivered in the municipal tent the carnival prizes in different categories, together with the members of the jury, composed by the journalist Antonio Gregorio, singer Salva Ortega and the presenter of Radio Southeast, Azucena Sánchez.
Thus, in the category of local comparsas, the third prize of 200 euros went to the Youth Correspondents, the second of 400 euros went to Glamorous Stars and the 600 of the first prize, Kebanna.
The AMPA of Los Pinos School was the best school comparsa with 200 euros, while La Nueva Ola del Mar Menor received a prize for its two Muses, 300 euros for adults and 150 for children.
The visiting troupes also received prizes from the jury, the third of 100 euros went to Yemanyá, the 200 euros of the second one was won by the comparsa Nuevo Encanto and the first prize worth 400 euros went to Guakará.
The children's muse, endowed with 100 euros, went to Nuevo Encanto, while Tymbalia took the adult muse, endowed with 200 euros.
This year, the Department of Celebrations has allocated an economic aid of 150 euros for all the participating troupes that with their joy and effort keep alive the illusion in this party.
