The classical processions of Las Palmas, in San Pedro and Lo Pagán, and the evening procession of Jesús Triunfante have been followed by hundreds of neighbors.
The morning procession of Palm Sunday once again filled the streets of San Pedro del Pinatar.
At around 11:15 am, the blessing of the palms and olive branches was celebrated in front of the Church of San Pedro Apóstol, in the Plaza de la Constitución.
From here, the assistants moved in procession to the Church of the Holy Trinity, where the Mass of Las Palmas was celebrated, a Eucharist where the Passion is read complete.
Lo Pagán also celebrated Palm Sunday with a processional procession that started around 11:30 am, from the residence of the Franciscan Sisters to the church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen.
Of great Christian tradition, these processions that take place in San Pedro and Lo Pagán, represent the entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem with honors of King and the jubilation of the people to receive the Messiah and have gathered hundreds of neighbors in the streets.
In the afternoon, the procession of Jesus Triunfante has toured the municipality accompanied by many children, since they are the protagonists of it.
It is one of the youngest processions, and the size, of Ramon Cuenca shows Jesus on the back of a borrica, which procession accompanied by Samaritans of all the brotherhoods.
Holy Week Pinatarense has its next appointments on Monday with the representation of the Sacramental Auto of The Passion in the Church of San Pedro Apóstol at 9 pm and later procession of the Taslado, which will conclude, with the meeting of the images of Santiago Apostle and María Magdalena
