The Holy Week in Pinar del Rio last night experienced one of its most moving and expected moments with the procession of the Encounter of Jesus with his Blessed Mother in the Street of Bitterness, followed by a penitential Way of the Cross of the Christ of Forgiveness.
On the night of Holy Thursday, it was represented in four parts, in the central intersection of Avenida Emilio Castelar and Avenida de Las Salinas, the meeting of Jesús Nazareno and La Virgen de los Dolores, with San Juan and La Piadosa Verónica, which dries and relieves the sweat of Jesus, leaving his face reflected in the cloth he wears.
It is one of the processions of more emotion, with the silence broken by the tear of the arrows to the Christ and the Virgin toned in this occasion by the pinatarense, Manuel Luzón.
After midnight the Way of the Cross of the Procession of Silence began, in which the penitents followed the image of the Christ of Forgiveness accompanied only by the sound of four drums that break the silence of the night and remember the sorrow and pain of the death of Christ.
Today, Good Friday, is celebrated the most popular procession of the Holy Week in Pinar del Rio, the Santo Entierro, in which 14 thrones are accompanied by hundreds of Nazarenes, brothers, musicians, manolas and shelves.
