The painter Luis Orihuela Cases exposed during the month of February a sample of 25 oil paintings, composed of portraits of children of different ethnic groups affected by poverty or war.

During the presentation of the exhibition, which took place last night at the Modern Film Theatre, the councilman of Culture and Tourism, Mark David Grace, said this work, based on the work of Miguel Hernandez and stressed that the paintings on display convey feelings and experiences.

For its part, the author of the book said the book aims to show the "three wounds" of talking the poet Miguel Hernández: love, life and death.

He also recalled that "Yuntero" was the word that the poet used to describe children who were "meat graveyard" and born with the feeling of living in a war.

Thus, he explained, this work shows the weak, children, that "are usually the primary victims of social injustice."

The opening ceremony ended with the reading of some poems of Miguel Hernandez as "Elegy" and "Winds of the People", by Professor Pedro Segura theater and members of the Social Forum of Orihuela, who works with this work.
