The municipal libraries literary exposed windows that invite you to travel and evoke the love (11/02/2011)

Libraries in San Pedro del Pinatar and Lo Pagan are periodically literary windows on different themes to promote reading among users and that this month is dedicated to romantic travel publications and to coincide with Valentine's Day.

Users of the libraries of San Pedro del Pinatar and Lo Pagan periodically produce literary showcases for adults and children, devoted to a subject or author in particular, to promote reading among residents of the municipality and increase in activity centers.

During this month, the San Pedro Library has prepared two windows, one in the children's section and one in adults, dedicated to travel-related publications.

For its part, the library of Lo Pagan has developed a window on Valentine's Day with romance novels, poetry and movies.

Users of both sites have rated this initiative, the library of St. Peter recently devoted to the work of the poet Miguel Hernández, Orihuela, coinciding with the centenary of his birth.

Other issues that recently have focused these windows have been literary art, Christmas or back to school.

The aim of these activities is that the users to develop the library as an active center, which offers several tools to promote reading and develop activities related to it.

In fact, last December the two centers received the award "Maria Moliner" to encourage reading, awarded by the Ministry of Culture, for the projects "A library for the whole family," the library of St. Peter's Pinatar, and "toy library" of Lo Pagan.
