The sports schools in San Pedro del Pinatar, organized by the Department of Sports, held yesterday the closure of the school year with exhibits, parade participants and delivery of trophies and diplomas.
Municipal schools, targeting children between 3 and 16 years, began in October and during the course to 508 students reached on the modalities for badminton, basketball, football, multi sport, skating, motor skills, gymnastics, squash, taekwondo, tennis and MINITENNIS, and beach volleyball.
The most popular sports are gymnastics, with 108 students, followed by tennis and MINITENNIS, with 92 children, and football, which has had 80 children enrolled.
They also emphasize other modalities such as taekwondo (62 students), skating (42) and basketball (39).
In addition, the Department of Sports has offered for the first time beach volleyball school, which has had 17 children.
The closing ceremony of the schools, involving hundreds of children, began around 16:30 with an exhibition of students of skating, which was followed by a review of taekwondo belts.
At 18:00 hours the exhibition was held in schools and psychomotor multisport and delivery of trophies domestic league football and tennis.
Rhythmic Gymnastics girls closed the cycle of exhibitions and around 19:30 hours, closed the event with the parade of schools and the awarding of diplomas.
