"The PP and auditing" (24/08/2011)

The PP has always been characterized as a game where its members are extremely disciplined, almost automatically, faithfully obey the orders of the strategists of Genoa.

And now has a new slogan, do audits of all municipalities that have been ruled by the PSOE and that after the May elections have become the PP.

Touch the phase of saying that the Socialists have governed badly, they have wasted, wasted public money. We are already seeing in different communities and localities, and of course San Pedro del Pinatar not going to be different.

The Mayor and acolytes are spreading among pinatarenses and the media, the debt is excessive, surpassing the predictable.

And the council is short of bankruptcy.

Therefore, to prove that assumption nothing better to do audits right and left.

In our town has been hired (by negotiated procedure without advertising, which means calling the companies that have been interested in the new Mr. Mayor and his team) to a private company, amounting to almost 70,000 euros, which will apply technical audit of the private sector that have nothing to do with the analysis to be performed in a municipality.

Hiring an outside company to audit involves a high and unnecessary additional cost to the treasury and is the part of the government team of Mayor Martinez, a discredit to the institutions and the Court of Auditors or the Ministry of Finance engaged to audit public accounts and a distrust of national enabled (secretary, auditor, treasurer) has our council and its work function and ensure transparency and clarity of the accounts.

Less audit and yes to a plan of adjustment is approved by the Ministry of Finance (as we are presenting some municipalities and even the government of President Valcarcel) to allow more debt to deal with debt providers.

In any case, the PSOE de San Pedro del Pinatar is for:

- Who do NOT audits in municipalities with debt but with public officials charged, as is happening with different positions of the PP government directly or indirectly involved in the case Gürtel.

- More demands on the President of the Community to settle the debt with this council in grants "slipped" or retained and had to take at the time the socialist government headed by José María García.

We are convinced that what is sought from the new local government of the PP is "health cure" if they are bad things in these next four years and blame the previous government of PSOE.

Mayor's statements in the media may reflect a strategy to provide information and data to justify decisions "traumatic" that are running the dismissal of numerous council staff, the decline in the quality and efficiency of public services or even decisions that are planned in the short term as higher taxes.

The crisis of the municipalities does not depend on the color of the party that has governed.

Just look at the rest of the consistory, and even the community itself.

The government of the PSOE led by José M ª García ruled with rigor and austerity in a generalized crisis in the minority.

We will not allow the stain PP work, the dedication of the former team of the PSOE, whose economic management has been endorsed by local technicians with the best advice and always within the law.

The problem now is not the crisis but the ability of the new government team headed by the mayor of the PP, Visitation Martinez to face it, deciding and choosing what measures carried out in order to generate jobs, pay suppliers and reduce debt.

They had the benefit of an absolute majority and a regional government of the same sign.
