The tenth edition of the Photographic Journey awards the best pictures of the Regional Park of Salinas (09/02/2012)

The Department of Tourism of the City of San Pedro has released three best pictures in the categories of fauna, flora and landscape of the tenth edition of this contest in which 45 pictures were presented, in which 18 groups have participated

The City of San Javier has announced the jury's decision of the Tenth Regional Park Photographic Journey Salinas y Arenales de San Pedro, which have been awarded the best pictures in the categories of fauna, flora and landscape.

In this issue involving a total of 18 groups and presented 45 photographs.

The prizes for this contest, held for a decade, consists of 700 euros for the top finishers in the three themes selected by a jury composed of members linked to tourism, the environment and photography.

In the "Fauna" photography has been awarded "Gull Slender-billed," the group "Natural Look", consisting of two participants from San Javier (Murcia) and on December 10.

In this picture, held in the Beach Tower Demolished in the Mediterranean Sea, shows a copy of slender-billed gull (Larus genei), whose population is sparse and often linked to the coastal strip and highlights his recent play in the park, and which is considered a vulnerable species.

The award in the category "Flora" was the group "Media", consisting of two participants Brinkola (Guipúzcoa) with photography "Seeds", held last September 17.

This photograph was taken from the beach of Punta Quemada Barraca Algae and shows the detail of some seeds to the light.

Also in the category "Landscape" has been won by the group "High Ceilings", consisting of two members of Murcia, with the photograph "Sunset", held last December 10 in the weirs and which includes a stunning sunset on the Mar Menor.

World Wetlands Day

The objective of this journey, which has developed over the months of June to December 2011, is to sensitize visitors to the Natural Park of the need to preserve the environmental values ​​of the salt and sand and they discover the diversity and richness to through the lens of the cameras.
