The Councillor for Education, Guadalupe Garcia, accompanied by Secretary of the Musical Union of San Javier, Rafael Lopez, and the head teacher and the school music teacher Hopes, Manuel Ruano, today presented the concert to be teaching held on Saturday, June 2, from 11:00 hours at the Leisure Centre and Emerging Arts.
The councilor explained that this activity aims to bring live music to younger children, and to encourage their interest in the municipal band and spread the musical culture through concerts.
It also thanked the cooperation and involvement of teachers in music schools in the municipality, who collaborated with the Department and the School of Music in developing the program and have worked in the classroom some of the topics to be construed Saturday.
For his part, Manuel Ruano, which will be a charge of presenting the show, stressed that aim at bringing a more playful and participatory dimension to this activity, in order that children have fun learning.
It has also reported to be delivered to children about worksheets, related to the themes of the concert, which must subsequently submit their music teachers.
The secretary of the Musical Union, Rafael Lopez, explained that it has developed a program that includes topics fun and recognizable by children so that through them, know and identify the different families of instruments.
So, he said, to interpret the themes "Titanic" and "Pocahontas" with woodwinds, while rhythmic themes chosen for the metal, as "Colonel Bogey".
The musicians of the municipal band also interpreted parts of "The Flintstones" and "Pink Panther" with percussion instruments.
The concert will be complemented by other songs in which children can participate by accompanying musicians with their voices.
