The Centre for Tourism Initiatives this week hosted a meeting with local innkeepers, thalassotherapy centers, medical centers and residences and representatives of other sectors related to health tourism
The councilman of Tourism San Javier, Antonio Garcia and marketing chief Tourist Murcia, Juan Angel Martinez opened the meeting which discussed the need to create a brand that puts the municipality as a key tourism destination health.
The meeting was also attended by medical specialists, economists, managers thalassotherapy facilities, health centers and hospitals, residences, consultancies, trade associations and financial institutions, among others.
Antonio Garcia had an impact that Health Tourism is one of the main areas of work of the council to promote tourism in the town throughout the year as San Javier has natural resources and climate suitable for developing the economic activity sustainably and productively together hotel infrastructure, health centers, thalassotherapy, and other services that meet the requirements of this profile as a tourist.
The meeting discussed the need to create a brand that brings together the different sectors involved in health tourism and is the mechanism through which potential users to access the wide range of the municipality in this sector.
One goal of this project is that people with certain diseases of European countries to complete their rehabilitation process in the municipality.
Medical specialists influenced the suitability of the municipality for such therapies, both for natural resources of the municipality and by the extensive coverage of both services and care.
