The beaches of San Javier in FITUR receive the certificate Q Quality (01/02/2013)

The Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality (ICTE) today presented the certificate of quality beaches and La Puntica Villananitos, renewing the label.

The mayor of San Javier, Martinez Visitation, and the Councillor for Tourism, Antonio García, today received two separate diplomas certifying the Q for Quality Tourism in Villananitos beaches and Lo Pagan.

This label guarantees accessibility, cleanliness and safety of the beaches certified and provides, in turn, reliability, differentiation and promotion.

Q Quality Mark is awarded by the Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality (ICTE), a body which audits nationwide to those establishments and institutions seeking to test its quality level meeting high standards.

In this event, chaired by Secretary of State for Tourism, Isabel Borrego, and ICTE President, Miguel Mirones, 630 diplomas were delivered for 163 tourist agencies that have been certified for the first time since they renovated this 467 stamp quality throughout 2012.

Currently there are 2100 certified facilities with the Q for Quality.

Villananitos beaches and La Puntica obtained this flag for the first time in 2006 and annually undergo a comprehensive audit which confirms the maintenance and improvement of the quality of these beaches.

MAR CHILD, SENIOR TOURISM DESTINATION

In addition to this act, Visitation Martinez has signed today an agreement with the other municipalities of the Mar Menor and the Minister of Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, for the implementation of the European social tourism "Europe Senior Tourism".

This agreement aims to make the Mar Menor in the European capital of senior tourism during 2013.

In addition, as general purpose, the Europe Senior Tourism program seeks to consolidate the feeling of belonging and European citizenship, social cohesion, mobility on the continent and the promotion of healthy lifestyles, offering entertainment and conducive meeting active aging.

After being selected from over 30 Spanish cities, the municipalities of Cartagena, San Javier, Los Alcazares and San Javier officially become part of the list of beneficiaries of this performance targets, contributing with 2,000 hotel rooms in four-star establishments .
