Thousands of faithful and fishermen accompany the Virgin of Carmen by land and sea (16/07/2013)

San Pedro del Pinatar has welcomed today thousands of people who have honored the patron saint of sailors on a pilgrimage by foot to Lo Pagan and maritime procession which involved dozens of vessels.

The municipality marmenorense of San Pedro del Pinatar held today one of the most established festivals and tradition, a procession by land and sea in honor of the Virgen del Carmen in which local fishermen, accompanied by thousands of residents and visitors, move to her employer from San Pedro del Pinatar to Lo Pagan.

The festival, which dates back to the eighteenth century in the city, started at 07:00 am with a bulls through the streets of San Pedro del Pinatar, followed an hour later by a massive air mass in the Plaza of the Constitution.
