UPyD opposes the blue zone proposed by the PP in San Pedro (10/12/2013)

Union, Progress and Democracy has said it will oppose the Ordinance Regulating Parking (ORA), who proposed the municipal People's Party Government for approval at the regular full December.

In this proposal, the creation of a blue zone transiting the entire first waterfront town, the beaches of La Puntica and Villananitos comprising among other areas, along with the fair provides Lo Pagan.

The ordinance includes the collection of the blue from 15 June to 15 September and from 12 noon until 4:30 in the morning, priced € 0.7 hour in daytime and 0.9 € at night, affecting about 450 parking spaces.

UPyD has positioned against said ordinance, as stated by Councilman José Luis Ros, "because it was made in haste, without proper financial planning, without the other parties and associations of the town, and without ensuring that profits are reinvested in the beaches and boardwalks of San Pedro. "

Furthermore, UPyD has moved four proposals to the Government, that at least 10% of places are aimed at residents and workers, who are not charged at night, that the benefits are intended only to improve the beaches and walks, and to withdraw the ordinance clause "decretazo" which empowers the mayor to modify any feature of the ORA by a simple decree, bypassing the city.

"These failures make unacceptable the ordinance."

Therefore, José Luis Ros has called "a serious study on the economic impact and the blue area is counted in its development with neighbors and employers Lo Pagan, which has not been done is done."

In addition to Ros, "If the City agrees not to allocate the benefits of the blue to support regeneration and reform Villananitos beach boardwalks, two elementary priorities to rescue the tourism and hospitality industry of the municipality, this measure It is nonsense. "

The magenta council has bearing on this question: "what is necessary is not there on the beach more parking, but the waterfront is maintained, so we will only be in favor of a blue area that is well made, not like this, and that is entirely reinvested on the beach and walks. "
