The regular meeting of the Board of City, on February 11, boarded the approved budgets for the year 2014, municipal investments for this year, the "Basket Solidarity" project and the renovation and improvement of the water supply of potable locality.
Thus, the Councillor for Finance, José Fernández, outlined the general criteria of the budgets for 2014 and the current state of the municipal coffers.
The mayor stressed that this is a balanced budget that prioritizes basic services, maintenance and improvement of social policy and employment promotion, and includes, also, real investments.
Meanwhile, the mayor of Planning, Angela Gaona explained what these investments, which have a budget of 722,000 euros, and include among other actions, paving and asphalting streets of downtown San Pedro and Lo Pagán will, new Lighting adapted to low consumption and energy sustainability; equipment for parks and gardens, and improvements to sports facilities.
During the meeting, the Councillor for Citizen Participation, Silvia Egea, also explained the project "Solidarity Cart" for municipal associations which assist the food bank in the region to provide them with complementary products and beneficiaries of this aid social can follow a more complete and balanced diet.
The Council also included the exhibition, by the technicians of the concessionaire of the renovation and improvement of the drinking water, which are in progress, and that will be an improvement in the delivery of 5,000 homes.
