UPyD affiliates in San Pedro del Pinatar have chosen today to its new Local Council unanimously betting candidacy headed by José Luis Ros, thus renewing coordinator for the next four years.
The mayor also pinatarense will be accompanied by local Executive Francisco Salvador and José Luis Cerezo.
Ros, that he was "very pleased" with the results of the election, which involved nearly 85% of the electorate, thanked the trust of his teammates to lead UPyD in the town.
"Our main challenge is to build a strong, honest and open to the public project and get to position itself as a real alternative in San Pedro, before a PP Government exhausted".
One of the tasks at the Local Council will prepare the electoral program that will go to the municipal UPyD May;
a program that is open to all civil society of the town, and aims, according to Ros, "to respond to the main concerns and needs of pinatarenses".
In this sense, Ros has emphasized the modernization of local government, which continues outdated to new technologies as a way to get better service to pinatarenses and an ambitious improving transparency, job creation by supporting and advice to small businesses, as well as adequate social protection to address the plight of many households in the municipality.
Following the election of Local Council, members of political education are again summoned to the polls on February 14 to choose who will be their candidate for mayor of San Pedro.
These primaries, as is standard in UPyD, can attend any militant without collateral.
