The Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities, in collaboration with the city of San Pedro del Pinatar, is reshaping the Nuestra Señora del Carmen to be eco-efficient Public School and optimize the thermal and acoustic comfort facilities in developing their studies Childhood and Primary Education 358 students.
The general director of Educational Centers, María Dolores Valcárcel, and the Mayor of San Pedro, Visitation Martinez, today visited the public school where they found the evolution of the work and held a meeting with the management team.

Before the meeting at this public school, the director general of Educational Centers and the mayor visited the Secondary School Manuel Tárraga Escribano, where they informed the management team on the progress of the project that are drafting technical investment of 100,000 euros for the remodeling of the center.
In this institute enrolled 401 students of Secondary Education, 160 high school and 215 vocational training in grades Aquaculture Crop Consumer Electrical Equipment, Administrative Management, Aquaculture and administration and finance their studies ..
At the meeting, María Dolores Valcárcel said that this new performance is a priority for the Ministry of Education and responds to the demand made by the educational community of the institute and the mayor of San Pedro.
More scholarships
During both business meetings, the general director of Educational Institutions reported on the new grant programs and school supplies being made by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities and increase the budget for such aid, and the streamlining of procedures to pay them to the start of the course 2015-2016, as has been done in this course.
The Ministry of Education allocated € 4.2 million for scholarships for school supplies and books and nearly 3.2 million school meals aid in order to overcome the 38,000 beneficiaries, 34,000 in the first and more than 4,000 in the second .
In the current year, more than 560 families in San Pedro del Pinatar have benefited from these grants amounting to over 86,000 euros.
