Homage to the efforts of local athletes in delivering Pinatarense Sport Awards (30/03/2015)

A thousand people followed in the municipal Pavilion Prince of Asturias this act in which, among other awards, best male athlete proclaimed the canoeist Moussine Mouthair and best female athlete's squash player Cristina Gómez.

San Pedro del Pinatar held on Saturday, March 28th, the first edition of Pinatarense Sports Awards, an event that appears with the aim to add value to the work and dedication of clubs, sports schools, associations and individual athletes who daily struggle to achieve their goals.

The mayor, Visitation Martinez, thanked the opening ceremony passion and efforts of local athletes as well as all those who work daily to promote and spread the sport.

These awards, which have been active local sports associations proposing candidates, rewarded the best athletes under 16 years, the veteran athlete, the best disabled athlete, athletic feat, the best equipment, the most prominent sporting event, the trajectory and dedication to the sport, and the best male and female athletes.

In addition, the City Council awarded a special mention to Deportivo to the grouping of Civil Protection Volunteers for their presence and involvement in sporting events Township Volunteer.

Special mention to Villa Joy School Center was also given for the promotion of sport, recently adhering to Program Sports School Age driven region.

The performances of small EDM and Rhythmic Gymnastics Aesthetic Pinatar opened the event with a fun performance.

The local ballet kebanna also entertained delivery with the spectacular show Kentaro, with which they won the prize in Choreography Cartagena Carnival 2014.

Award for best athlete:

ï‚· Cristina Gómez Jiménez: Player of Squash Club Deportivo San Pedro Center, Champion of Spain sub 19 and sub 17 in 2014, absolute runner, runners European Under 19 subcapeona Europe and the senior women's team, among other achievements.

Prize for the best athlete:

ï‚· Moussine Mouthair: Canoeing Club UCAM-AD Pinatarense champion U23 selective control C1 1,000 meters runner Spain U23 C1 1,000 meters and a semifinalist at the world track camponato sub c1 23 1000 meters.

Prize for the best athlete under 16 years:

ï‚· Ramon Manuel Gomez Gracia: Canoeing Club UCAM-AD Pinatarense, cadet champion Spain c1 5000m champion Spain cadet C1 5000m champion cadet Spain c1 1,000 meters, Champ of Spain in the cadet championship Young Promises C4 1000 meters and tenth in the C4 Junior European Championship 1000 meters.

Award for Best Veteran Sportsman

ï‚· Behrooz Ziaiahmadi: Badminton Player Pinatar club champions, veterans D single circuit Toledo national champion Veterans D circuit Cerdañola national, regional runner all mixed doubles in Torres de Cotilla, and Fair Play trophy as arbitrator in the World Championship University of Córdoba.

Best Athlete Award disabled

ï‚· Lorenzo Martinez Albaladejo: Athlete Athletics Club UCAM Cartagena, second in Europe in 100 M- T38, and runner-Euorapa 200 M - T38 in the European Championship Adapted from Swansea.

Best Team Award:

ï‚· U21 Canoe Polo Team Champions of Spain sub 21 champions league champions under 21 and three cups of Spain.

Gesta Sports Award:

ï‚· Tárraga Iván Martínez: Finisher Titan Desert in 2014 to 95th in the General Clasificaciíon, and placed in Category Elite 58, reversing a time of 38 hours 26 minutes 18 seconds.

Prize for the most outstanding event:

ï‚· Second International Dragonboat Festival: Held at the Center l Nautical Activities Lo Pagan from 18 to 20 April, with the participation of 500 paddlers from different categories and nationalities.

Mention of the work for the promotion and sport:

ï‚· College Football Base Pinatar: By promoting grassroots sport and promote sport among youth pinatarense during its 27 years of existence, increasing the number of participants continuously.

Mention to the path of dedication to the sport pinatarense:

ï‚· Félix Martínez Bermúdez: Monitor Canoeing deldesde over 20 years ago, coach Pinatarense AD, 11 years competing in calm waters Olympic sport getting several rooms and different endings in single kayak and equipment, promoter mode Kayak Polo regional and national -31 years of competition, dedication and coordination in this sport getting to be the only national club representing San Pedro, being in 1st division since the start of the league.

World Championship U21 as kayak polo coach, 23 years competing, coaching and refereeing kayak polo is the oldest of the National League veteran.
