The House of Culture hosted the awards ceremony of the II Contest Microrrelatos La Sal, organized by the city of San Pedro del Pinatar and who have attended a total of 38 works.
San Pedro del Pinatar yesterday celebrated World Book Day with the award of the II Contest of micro La Sal, organized by the Department of Culture in collaboration with Spanish Salinera.
This contest, attended by a total of 38 micro-stories, asked participants to tell a story in less than 150 words with salt and protagonist element in order to encourage and reward creative and literary spirit around one element most representative of the municipality.
The jury of journalist Alexia Salas García;
the pinatarense writer Francisco Sánchez Lizón, and also a journalist Emilio Tomás García, awarded first prize of 200 euros and second prize, the short story "High Voltage", the young Rebeca Garcia, a native of Villanueva del Río Segura;
while "Saved" by pinatarense Francisco Ferrer Carbonell, won the award for best narrative of local author, worth 100 euros and second prize.
The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martinez, Councillor for Culture, Silvia Egea, and the representative of Spanish Salinera, Pedro Vallejos, made awards to both authors.
In addition, attendees were able to hear the winners microrrelatos dramatized by local actors.
The celebrations of World Book Day continues this weekend at the Plaza de la Constitution Book Fair, puppet workshops at 12:00 hours and 18:00 hours, representations of "Alice in the Wonderland "and" The Brave Little Tailor "on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 respectively.
