The Councilor for Social Welfare and Iguladad, Fuensanta García, and the president of the Association of Families and Women of the Rural Environment in the Region (AFAMMER), Carmen Inglés, opened this week the course "Social and Health Care for dependents in penitentiary institutions."
This course, which runs from September 9 to October 9 at the Agustina Santiago Center for Social Services and Women, is aimed at the unemployed, preferably women, with priority for young people, over 45 and people with disabilities.
A total of 17 students take this 75-hour course, which will provide participants with knowledge to serve dependent people, in order to maintain and improve their personal autonomy, such as psychosocial support, communication techniques, training of cognitive functions, etc.
AFAMMER and the Department of Social Welfare have been collaborating for years in the development of training activities, aimed at employability, as well as talks and workshops.
