The Municipal Council for Children and Adolescents is committed to work for the Environment and Tourism (21/11/2019)

The City Council of San Pedro del Pinatar celebrated on November 20 a children's plenary session in which the members of this participation body transferred the suggestions and proposals of the children and youth of the town.

The Plenary Hall of the City Council of San Pedro del Pinatar, hosted on Wednesday, November 20, the plenary session of the Municipal Council of Children and Adolescents, chaired by the Mayor, Martínez Visitation, and formed by children and adolescents of the centers local education, in addition to the councilors of Social Welfare, Fuensanta García, and Citizen Participation, Zoilo Ballester and a representative of FAPA Pinatar.

In this session they were presented to the members of the Council and, after the vote, Paula Hernández Aguilera, was elected vice president of this body.

Subsequently, proposals for improvements for the municipality and suggestions for activities that children and young people collected in their respective educational centers were presented

Among them, the children requested cultural and recreational activities adapted to their age, improvement and creation of sports and recreational infrastructures, bike lanes, or programs to combat bullying.

During the plenary session they also agreed to work during the course on Environment and Tourism, two of the issues that most concern children and adolescents in the town, according to the data collected in the participation mailboxes.

The Municipal Council for Children and Adolescents aims to promote the participation, information and training of children and adolescents in municipal life.

In addition, facilitate the active collaboration of children and adolescents in municipal policies and propose to the Municipal Administration the appropriate measures to guarantee the well-being and development of children's rights at the local level.

Aliaa Boudra and Fatima Zahra Zaougi, of the CEIP Las Esperanzas, José Gimeno and Rebeca Sánchez Nieto, of the CEIP Villa Alegría, Rayan Bouazzi and Irene Esparza of the CBM Maspalomas, and Khalid Saidi and Lucía Cortés Gil del are part of the Children and Adolescents Council CEIP Our Lady of Carmen.

Ionatan Vartolomei and Marina Izquierdo, from CEIP Lo Pinos, also participate;

Carmen Martínez and Rubén Cárdenas, from CEIP Los Antolinos;

Pedro Crespo, Pablo Vidal and Olga Blanco, from CEIP San Pedro Apóstol;

Alberto López and Sofía Martínez, of the New Castelar;

Raúl Puerta and Paula Hernández, from IES Dos Mares, and Joaquín Enrique García and Miguel Ángel Sánchez, from IES Manuel Tárraga.
