Comedy, family theater and exhibitions make up the winter cultural program in San Pedro del Pinatar (08/01/2020)

The House of Culture and the Barón de Benifayó Museum will house plays, book presentations, individual and collective exhibitions, among other activities aimed at all audiences.

The Councilor for Culture of San Pedro del Pinatar, Mª Carmen Guirao, today presented the cultural program of San Pedro del Pinatar for the first quarter of the year.

Thus, the theater and entertainment section starts on Friday, January 24 with "Nuevo Teatro Disperso!", By Juan Luis Hurtado 'Roper', actor and humorist who presents in this montage those stories that have been left in the inkwell throughout his career

On February 7 it will be the turn of "We all have the same story", by the company Siete Comediantes (Callosa de Segura, 1966), which holds more than 50 awards in different competitions in his career.

The successful play "The Murcians return", with more than 50,000 spectators, arrives in San Pedro del Pinatar on January 28, by Mondongo Entertainment, with comedians Jaime Caravaca, Marco Antonio Castaño, Javi Chou and Kalderas.

Finally, on March 13 it will be the turn of "Follow Calderona", from the Madrid company La Kimera Theater, selected at the International Festival of Almagro.

In the children's area, the quarter will begin on Saturday, January 25, with the puppet play "In Search of Ice", from the company Los Sueños de Fausto, in which two penguins embark on a journey in search of the last Big piece of ice.

For its part, Seven Comedians will represent on February 8 "shreck is leaving" and La Rous Theater will take the stage of the house of culture "La Casa del Abuelo", FETEN 2019 award for the best children's show.

The fun play "Mari Pompas" by Globalplay will close this cycle on March 14.

All works will be represented in the House of Culture, those aimed at the adult public at 10 pm and with an entry price of 8 euros in advance and 10 euros at the box office.

As for children, they will also take place on the same stage, at 6:00 p.m. and the entrance is priced at 3 euros for each work.

In the exhibition area, the season will begin this Friday, January 10, with the inauguration of "Mar & Plasticos. Artists by the Mar Menor", which will be shown at the Baron de Benifayó Museum until February 2.

This collective exhibition includes the works of about thirty artists made with the waste collected on the beaches of the Mar Menor.

The artist and decorator Rocio Cerdán will exhibit from January 17 to February 15 "The Door of Dreams", a sample focused on mandalas, composed of geometric figures and diagrams with striking colors inspired by Buddhism, Hinduism, etc.

In addition, the Baron de Benifayó Museum will exhibit from February 7 to 29, "Párraga, Creative Spirit" a collection of paintings, prints and drawings by one of the most universal Murcian authors, José María Párraga, a prolific artist who left many works as painter, sculptor, illustrated press, etc.

The quarter will conclude, also in the Baron de Benifayó museum with an exhibition on Holy Week in the town, from March 5 to April 13, and later with the work "From Darkness to Light", by the San art group Pedro del Piinatar "El Bosco", dedicated to the study of light, which can be visited from April 24 to May 31.

Apart from these exhibitions on January 24, the Baron de Benifayó Museum will also host the presentation of "For a Celtic Package", by Juan Gil Palao, winner of the X International Realto Vivendia Villiers Prize.
