The Risen Christ stars in the Holy Week Poster that starts with the request for streets (27/02/2020)

The City Council last night welcomed the Street Order to process the Cabildo Superior de Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods of Holy Week, a traditional act in which it was also announced that the preacher will be Fernando Carrasco and the appointment as processionist of the year to Francisco Martínez

Representatives of the brotherhoods and brotherhoods of San Pedro del Pinatar, escorted by the Roman third and the band of bugles and drums of La Virgen de La Piedad, processed last night to the City Hall to ask the mayor, Visitation Martinez, the streets of the location.

In the act, which is traditionally celebrated on Ash Wednesday, with the beginning of Lent, the mayor gave the streets to the General Council of Groups to process, as well as the announcement of the annual grant to the brotherhoods of Holy Week, with a 55,000 euros.

During the event, Visitación Martínez highlighted the work and fervor of all those who are part of Holy Week and congratulations to all who this year receive special recognition from brotherhoods and brotherhoods.

For his part, the president of the Superior Council of Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods of Holy Week, Mariano Visedo, encouraged everyone to live this catechesis in the street.

The poster announcing the Holy Week was also presented, an image of the Risen Christ, the work of Murcian sculptor José Antonio Hernández Navarro, who will procession this year for the first time, in an image of the local photographer Blas Escudero.

The act of handing over the streets concluded with a prayer, by the local parish priest, Pawel Bogdan, and the offering of a laurel wreath at the monument to the Nazarene, located in the Plaza de La Constitución and that honors the work of the Pinatarenses deceased who were part of Holy Week in the municipality.
