San Pedro del Pinatar vindicates the role of women and denounces the inequalities by March 8 (28/02/2020)

San Pedro del Pinatar celebrates International Women's Day with different activities related to culture, work-life balance and personal development, which aim to claim the role of women in today's society.

The Councilor for Equality, Fuensanta García, today presented the activities scheduled to mark the commemoration of International Women's Day and which aim to raise awareness about the importance of equal opportunities between men and women and raise awareness to move towards equality real.

Thus, the activities framed on this day begin on Tuesday, March 3 at 12:00, with the Radio Program "Women Between Cultures", where several women around the Pinatar Radio microphones, will tell their experiences upon arrival to a country that is not yours, as they have made their way, personally and professionally.

On Tuesday, March 3, a special Women's Day storytelling will be held in the auditorium of the Municipal Library, starting at 6:30 p.m.

The activities will continue with the Business Days "Manual of Good Practices for the Implementation of the Principle of Equality, Conciliation and Stewardship in the Company", in which Juana Aznar Márquez, professor at the Miguel Hernández University and Inmaculada Bas, Director of the Department of HR and Legal of the Villademar Residence.

This forum will propose, together with businessmen from the municipality, the Equality measures in local businesses, on Wednesday, March 4 at 10:00 am at the Women's Social Services Center and Equality Councilor Agustina Santiago.

On Thursday, March 5, the activities will continue with a Round Table with the name of "Gipsy Women in Action", where the socio-labor evolution of the Roma woman will be analyzed, also in the social services center at 10: 00 hours;

Organized by the Gypsy Development Program and the Department of Social Welfare, in collaboration with the Fundación Secretariado Gitano, FAGA and Kalochi Kaló Association.

On Friday, March 6 at 12:00 h the institutional act will be held on the occasion of International Women's Day where, in addition to reading the manifesto, the prizes of the IV Short Story Contest "For Equality between Women and Men ", Aimed at secondary school and high school students of the local educational centers, and the IX" Contest of Women "photography contest and the inauguration of the photographic exhibition with the boras presented.

On the same Friday, the House of Culture will host the third edition of the "Grito de Mujer" Poetry and Art Festival, starting at 6:30 pm, with the slogan "Who Screams For You?", A solidarity shout for the children whose families have been severely affected by cases of femicide.

An act coordinated by Genma Bocardo, where participants will express themselves through poetry and stories, accompanied by the music of Amarela.

The program will continue on Wednesday, March 11, with the talk "Socio-Labor Skills and Integral Welfare as a Tool for the Empowerment of Women", which will be accompanied by a workshop on "Mindfulness: A Path to Personal Growth and Equality", the March 12, 16, 20 and 23.
