New measures to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus COVID-19 (12/03/2020)

Following the guidelines set by the Autonomous Executive, meeting in the Extraordinary Government Council, the government team of the San Pedro del Pinatar City Council has established new measures to reduce the impact of the coronavirus, COVID-19.

All acts, events and concentrations are suspended, as well as all municipal activities in public centers.

Since Monday March 16 and the teaching activity has been suspended in all the Educational Centers, the operation of the municipal nursery schools and the Day Center has been suspended.

Until March 31, all group activities in civic centers, Women's Centers, Libraries, sports facilities, nursery schools, Popular University and guided tours in all municipal offices are suspended.

Likewise, municipal buildings will remain closed, such as Pensioner's Homes, Associations Hotel, Study Hall of the Comprehensive Security Center, Libraries, Barón de Benifayó Museum, Multiple Use Building, Leisure Center, sports facilities, as well as the Indoor Pool and Nautical Activities Center.

The weekly markets of San Pedro and Lo Pagán and markets of any kind are suspended.

The programs scheduled for March, for culture, sport, youth, fairs, commerce, tourism, festivities and leisure, as well as the Easter events are postponed.

It is recommended to people with vulnerable health, the elderly and with chronic diseases, to avoid leaving the house due to prevention, home care for the elderly is recommended and the home help service is maintained.
