The Plenary provides financially and advances in the measures of the economic and social plan "Reactivate San Pedro" (04/06/2020)

All political groups signed a motion to endorse the agreement reached by the entire Municipal Corporation, which involves the adoption of 75 measures, with an amount of more than 1.5 million euros, for the economic and social reactivation of the municipality. The Plenary session of the San Pedro del Pinatar City Council unanimously approved in its June session a motion presented by all the political groups (PP, PSOE, Ciudadanos and Vox) to ratify the agreement "Reactivate San Pedro", a plan that includes 75 measures in areas such as fiscal and economic, social care, employment promotion, or support for key sectors such as commerce and tourism, to face the crisis caused by the coronavirus. This document, signed by the spokespersons of the four political groups and the mayor of the town, Visitación Martínez, on May 26, translates into 1.5 million euros, so the plenary session has approved the corresponding credit transfers for economically endow budgeted measures in different areas. Likewise, the plenary session has modified the Bases of fiscal aid approved in the plenary session in April, increasing the credit for this call, due to the extension of the initially planned alarm period and the inclusion of new subsidized expenses, such as the acquisition of partitions for hotels ( 50% aid is added for the installation of this equipment, up to a maximum of 2,000 euros per establishment).

In addition, the deadline for submission of aid for beneficiaries is extended to September 30, 2020. These bases also include bonuses and aid in rates and taxes for companies that have had to cease their activity, such as the IBI, the IAE, the water and sewerage rate, the weekly market rate, etc. The June plenary session has also approved the modification of the Fiscal Ordinance Regulating the Tax on Constructions, Installations and Works (ICIO) that includes the exemption for those works related to the adaptation to the new sanitary and public health regulations as a result of the pandemic COVID-19. These measures represent an advance in the adoption of measures included in the Plan Reacitvemos San Pedro, which, as the mayors have recalled, aims to "reach each and every one of the people of Pinar del Río who have been affected by this health, economic and social and forcefully boost the local economy.
