San Pedro del Pinatar will once again have this year the prestigious tourist eco-quality label on the urban beach of El Mojón, the Marina de las Salinas Marina and the "Las Salinas" Visitor Center.The urban beach of El Mojón, located on the Mediterranean slope, with a length of 465 meters and bordering the Salinas and Arenales de San Pedro del Pinatar Regional Park (or Salinas de San Pedro Regional Park), obtains this year the blue flag for the fifth consecutive year.The Puerto Deportivo Marina de las Salinas and the Visitor Center "Las Salinas" also have this distinctive eco-tourism quality, for their work of dissemination and environmental education, promoting the ecosystem of the Regional Park through various activities.The international Blue Flag distinction, created by the Environmental Education Foundation and awarded in Spain by the Association of Environmental and Consumer Education (ADEAC-FEE), is an award for the environmental quality of beaches and ports that rewards compliance with certain standards.
