This body, made up of children and adolescents from the educational centers of the town, will invite users of the nursing homes in San Pedro del Pinatar next Sunday to a healthy breakfast, which they will send along with dozens of messages of love and support . Next Sunday, July 26, the International Day of Grandfather is commemorated and the Council of Children and Adolescents of San Pedro del Pinatar, in coordination with the Department of Social Welfare, has wanted to highlight the important role of the elderly in the society and recognize their bravery during the coronavirus crisis. For this reason, and in view of the impossibility of carrying out an intergenerational act in person, the Council has produced over the last month letters, drawings, posters and postcards with messages of support and love for the elderly, highlighting the value of grandparents in our society, which will send along with some pieces of fruit to the residences of older Messengers of La Paz and Villademar. The Councilor for Social Welfare, Fuensanta García, explained that this activity is a gesture of affection and recognition of the members of the Council for Children and Adolescents with those who have been most vulnerable during this health emergency situation.
