The local associations that collaborate with the food banks of the Region of Murcia and that have presented the project in time and form to collaborate with the municipal project of the solidarity basket have been the parish Caritas and the Red Cross Mar Menor Norte. The local Government Board approved in its last session held this morning, to grant subsidies for local associations that collaborate with the Food Aid Plan of the Region of Murcia, through the municipal project of the Department of Citizen Participation "Solidarity Basket". The "solidarity basket" adds to the food that municipal humanitarian and social aid associations receive from the regional food bank and from European funds that are not enough to provide a healthy diet, as they cannot provide fresh food. The local associations that collaborate with the food banks of the Region of Murcia and that have presented the project in time and form to collaborate with the municipal project of the solidarity basket have been the parish Caritas and the Red Cross Mar Menor Norte.
Thus, the total subsidy amounts to € 48,230 of which 3,000 euros come from a donation from la Caixa social work. AID AND BONUSES Also within the framework of the Local Government Board, three home help, four home telecare assistance and four help for families in need were also approved. In addition, a total of 568 discounts in the water rate and garbage collection service have been approved by this Board for 156 pensioners, 142 large families and 270 families with low economic resources.
