The facilities of the San Pedro del Pinatar Sea Museum host the exhibition "Discover canoeing", dedicated to this sport so closely linked to the municipality. The exhibition was inaugurated this afternoon on Friday, July 31, and was attended, among other people related to this sport, by the local Sports Councilor, Pedro Antonio Vivancos, who accompanied by the Councilor's sports director, José Ramón Moya, they have wrapped Benito Pérez, director of the Museum and the canoeing instructor, Félix Martínez, alma mater of the sample. The event was also attended by Nicolás López, vice president of the Regional Canoeing Federation, José Juan Giménez, several times champion of Spain or Raúl López, champion of Europe in different disciplines. In the different rooms of the Museo del Mar you can see both life-size boats, some of them made by hand, and a multitude of miniatures of the different modalities of this sport, from kayaks or individual speed canoes or calm waters, to used in descents or slalom events. The exhibition can be visited until next November 30 at the Museum's usual hours, from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m.
to 1 p.m., by appointment.
