The Minister of Tourism chairs the act of raising the flag "Safe Tourism Certified" (19/08/2020)

San Pedro del Pinatar has the "Safe Tourism Certified" seal on the beaches of La Puntica, Villananitos and La Mota in the Mar Menor and La Llana-Las Salinas, Torre Derribada and El Mojón in the Mediterranean, adding these to the Office Tourist InformationThe Region of Murcia already has 49 'Safe Tourism Certified' tourist certificates granted by the Institute for Spanish Tourist Quality (Icte) and which position the Community as a safe destination against Covid-19.San Pedro del Pinatar has obtained the "Safe Tourism Certified" seal for its beaches, after passing the independent audit that certifies compliance with the recommendations to combat the coronavirus, established by the Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality (ICTE).

Specifically, the beaches of La Puntica, Villananitos and La Mota in the Mar Menor and La Llana-Las Salinas, Torre Derribada and El Mojón in the Mediterranean have been accredited, adding these to the Tourist Information Office that received it a few days ago .

Since the beginning of the pandemic, a municipal Contingency Plan coordinated by the Beach Management Body was established, in order to prevent contagion on the beaches and their surroundings.These stamps have been awarded to 25 tourist offices in the Region, two information points, 6 beaches in San Pedro del Pintar, 14 beaches in San Javier, the maritime transport company 'ByF Ferrys' and the Terra Natura leisure park.The Minister of Tourism, Cristina Sánchez, today raised the flag of the Mistral beach of La Manga, and explained that "these distinctions are our letter of introduction to the tourists who visit us because we are the safest in Spain and they come to ratify the solvency and the commitment to quality and safety that we offer both to the inhabitants of the Region and to those who visit us from outside.

"Obtaining the 'Safe Tourism Certified' means gradually recovering the confidence of tourists, being the best guarantee that the Region of Murcia is a safe destination by transmitting tranquility with certified quality.
