San Pedro del Pinatar, a cinematographic experience (26/08/2020)

| The Department of Culture launches the "Route of the Seventh Art", a tourist-cultural initiative that constitutes the audiovisual heritage of Pinata | The Councilor for Culture of San Pedro del Pinatar, Mari Carmen Guirao, accompanied by the director of the Barón de Benifayó Municipal Museum, Marcos David Gracia, the actor from Pinata Norberto Albaladejo and the manager of the Hotel Neptuno, Enrique López, presented this morning at the Paseo Marítimo de la Puntica, the Route of the Seventh Art of San Pedro del Pinatar.Over the decades, the town has been the scene of numerous films, of which six have been selected to form part of this cultural-tourism initiative that constitutes the audiovisual heritage of Pinar del Río.Thus, this route has an extension of 14 km and is located in different areas of the municipality, so it is recommended to do it by car.

In El Puerto and La Llana Beach, the filming of the Italy-France-Spain Co-production, "Operation Lady Chaplin" and "Pajarico", starring Paco Rabal from Murcia, stands out.

Villananitos and Lo Pagán have lent their coastline to films such as "Rencor", for which Lolita won the Goya award as revelation actress.In the 1970s, the advertising spot for the mythical Seat Málaga "Brisa" and the films "The Virgin among the living dead" and "Adolescents" were recorded, which, according to López, room 309 of the Neptuno Hotel where develops a scene from the film, it will bear the name of the film.

More recently, in 2005, the urban center of San Pedro del Pinatar hosted the filming of "La Noche del Hermano", a drama peppered with family intrigue.In addition, the Route of the Seventh Art of San Pedro del Pinatar, highlights the link between the actor Juanjo Artero with the town and the figure of the actress Catalina Bárcena, who lived in Lo Pagán for a few years, as well as the Pinatarenses, Geli and Norberto Albaladejo in the world of cinema and theater.The brochures and physical panels located in the filming scenes, carry a QR code where you can view a synopsis of the film, as well as images of it in the area and to complete this cinematographic experience, parallel activities related to the cinema will be carried out and the theater as talks, exhibitions, etc.
