The San Pedro del Pinatar City Council has been awarded in the first edition of the Open Government, Good Government and Administrative Modernization Awards of the Region of Murcia, which were born with the purpose of promoting in the field of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia the behaviors of the different administrative units and entities that exercise public functions regarding Open Government, Good Governance, Administrative Modernization and the improvement and quality of the provision of public services.
In the Administrative Modernization category, San Pedro del Pinatar has received the award for the project "Strategies for promoting administrative modernization and transparency at the local level", a project that has been based on four points: the digital transformation of the Local Administration, the promotion of public Governance, the Open Government strategy and improvement of Transparency and the improvement and modernization of public employment.
This project offers specific data on the measures and actions developed in the City Council following participatory methodologies and the principles of Open Government, which include Citizen Participation, Transparency and collaboration with other administrations.
In addition, it also details what ICTs have implied in the administration in times of COVID-19 and analysis parameters are offered to assess and link these issues with the SDGs and with the Strategy 2030.
