El Murciano Health Service will address the proposed reform and adaptation of the Office of Lo Pagan (22/02/2016)

The Minister of Health, Encarna Guillén, met with the mayor of San Javier, Visitation Martinez, to discuss issues relating to the health service in the municipality as the study of the Emergency Department and Emergency Primary Care San Pedro del Pinatar (SUAP) and the remodeling of the Health Center of Lo Pagan.

In this regard, the minister announced that the Murciano Health Service (SMS) will review the project for the modernization and improvement of the Office of Lo Pagan, the first mayor had asked the counselor as vital to the town and whose project initial data for 2009. the Minister promised to upgrade the project and plan a schedule of performances for 2017 is to undertake the work.

He also announced that the Hospital Los Arcos del Mar Menor will have mental health consultations to prevent the transfer of patients to the referral service in Cartagena.

The Health Center San Pedro del Pinatar belongs to the Basic Health Zone 40, attached to the Health Area VIII-Mar Menor, which serves a population potential of 108,000 people, a figure that during the summer months increases significantly.

This center provides care for 19,144 individual health card users, of which 3,458 are under 13 years.

A total of 43 professionals who perform their clinical work at the Health District 40, most of them in the Health Center San Pedro del Pinatar six for the Office of Lo Pagan.

Over the past year, in the region more than 11 million primary care consultations were attended.

Of these, 234,675 were in the Health Center of San Pedro, with 131,242 of Family Medicine and Community, of which 20,454 were urgent.
