The Park Reyes Sea Spain welcomed on Sunday the Day of the Dog, which included, among other activities, dog show, fashion show and dog grooming, plus exhibits rescue beaches, by the group Mare Nostrum, and on land, Ayocan Dog Trainers, dog walker route, lectures, etc., an event organized by the Union of Entrepreneurs pinatarenses association.
The councilman of Health, Pedro Javier Sanchez, accompanied the representatives of this association in the event that the organization performed in order to obtain grants to finance the monument to the figure of the dog, a sculpture with the image of Bruno (the first dog of Spain which it is part of the monitoring device on beaches in the area) to actual size, by artist Juan Bautista Martínez Fernández.
In the event the "Bruno Award" posthumously to Vigo Bear Rubio, Dog Canine Unit of Rescue Region (UCAS) and diplomas to the BIS Canine National contest in which they enrolled delivered over 150 dogs, the top spot for black Doberman fire, Murdock eternal flame, second fuer for medium white poodle, Quella Bravissima Jouet and finally, the Afghan Hound, Flyn of Aikhanoum.
The Day of the Dog is done with the aim to disseminate and promote respect for animals in cooperation with animal protection associations that throughout the morning were present at the Esplanade of Lo Pagán to inform, raise funds and seek potential adopters.
