Paddlers Canoe Club Sport Pinatarense UCAMAsociación adds a new Guinness Record (29/10/2016)

The Mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Visitation Martinez and the Councillor for Sports, Daniel Perez, received this morning to members of the Sports Association Pinatarense who were part of the national team of Dragon Boat that won last October 23, the Record Guinness longest distance traveled for 24 hours by rowing channel relay in Cuevas de Almanzora (Almeria) and forming the Club athletes in the discipline of Kayat Polo, who this season have reaped countless triumphs.

Visitation Martinez, highlighted the successes in Kayat Polo Team San Pedro del Pinatar that both male and female form as in different categories have joined numerous victories both nationally and internationally.

The mayor also recalled the Guinness Record which won the AD Pinatarense, a year ago, after passing the longest distance in the form of Dragon Boat within 24 hours, to reach 188 km and congratulated paddlers by this new success .

The Canoe Club Pinatarense UCAM Sports Association, took part last weekend in this challenge with selected athletes from all over Spain to snatch the record to a German team from the town of Koblenz was in possession of it.

The Spanish Association of Dragon boat, composed of 84 athletes, of which more than half belong to pinatarense team managed to beat the current record with 263.515 km.

The mayor of the town, gave the hallmark of the Department of Sports Club precedent, Pedro Lopez who thanked the gesture of the City and congratulated the team for the efforts made and the achievement of medals.
