The Plenary Meeting of the City Council of San Pedro del Pinatar has approved the second call for the DUSI Strategy with a project called # soyPinatar2020, which includes the actions that the local residents have considered priority in different participatory processes.
The plenary of the City of San Pedro del Pinatar today unanimously approved the second European call for funds of the Dusi Strategy, with a project called # SoyPinatar2020 in which priority investments are set for the municipality to date.
The Councilor for Urban Planning and Environment, Pedro Javier Sánchez, explained that this project includes 12 priority actions, among which the accessibility and modernization of the urban center, the implementation of electronic administration or the re-ordering of Villananitos beach.
The DUSI of San Pedro del Pinatar also contemplates the rehabilitation of Floridablanca, the habilitation of a bike lane from Lo Pagán to San Javier, the installation of electrical recharging points for vehicles, the change of lights by LED or the rehabilitation of the old House Of Youth as a hotel of associations, among other projects.
The mayor explained that these projects were the most demanded by the citizens in the participatory workshops that were held in March and April with associations, businessmen, elders, political groups, municipal workers, etc.
In addition, it has indicated that the local government will allocate items in the budgets of 2017 to initiate those actions that have been set as priority, regardless of the obtaining of European funding.
DONATION OF PLOT TO AIDEMAR
In another of the agenda items, the plenary has approved the disbanding of a municipal plot of 5,290 square meters, as a preliminary step for its assignment to the association AIDEMAR, for the construction of a residential center.
The councilman explained that this plot, located in the vicinity of the hotel Thalasia will host a residence for physically and mentally disabled people with 65 seats, thus responding to the request of the association AIDEMAR of a municipal plot for said destination.
The mayor has highlighted the great and recognized social work carried out by this association in the municipality and the whole region of the Mar Menor and recalled that AIDEMAR already has in San Pedro del Pinatar with a Day Center and a Special Employment Center.
On the other hand, the plenary has rejected the Citizens' motion to eliminate the opening rate of establishments in the municipality.
At this point, the mayor has considered the motion out of time, as this proposal should have been made in the previous plenary that debated changes to the tax ordinances.
Visitation Martinez recalled that, following the agreement adopted by the Regional Assembly, the Council of Mayors is expected to rule on this measure.
He also pointed out that since 2013 the City Council introduced bonuses of 50% for any establishment and 75% for entrepreneurs in this municipal tax.
