The Virgin of the Dolores announces the beginning of the processions Pinatarenses (08/04/2017)

The Holy Week of San Pedro del Pinatar, declared of Regional Tourist Interest, began last night, April 7, with the Friday procession of Dolores.

The Virgin of Los Dolores, a beautiful carving of great ornamental richness, of the sculptor Jose Sánchez Lozano realized in 1942, was in charge of abrir the processions Pinatarenses.

At around 21.15 hours, accompanied by the group and drums of the San Juan Evangelista, the Third and Throne of the Holy Grail, the Third and Band of Horns and drums of the Virgin of Sorrows and the Third of Manolas, the Throne of The Virgin of Sorrows closed the procession followed by the Official Comitee and the Band of Music of San Pedro del Pinatar.

Tomorrow Palm Sunday processional processions continue in the locality, at 11.15 pm will take place the procession of Las Palmas that will begin with the blessing of the Palms in the Plaza de la Constitución and later procession to the Church of the Holy Trinity where Will celebrate the Mass of Las Palmas at 12:00 hours.

At the same time, at 11:30 a.m., the Procession of Las Palmas in Lo Pagán will be developed, from the Residence of Franciscan Sisters to the Nuestra Señora del Carmen Church.

In the afternoon at 18:00, the procession of Jesus Triumphant will take place with the participation of the group of San Juan, Nazarene representation of the groups of Holy Week, and Samaritans of the Virgin of Sorrows, next to the Throne of Jesus Triumphant.
