The mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Jose Garcia, and City Council for Equality and Youth, Carmen Honrubia, I have given today Solidarity Awards Aideman municipality associations, Red Cross, Much to Live, Majabuka, G +1, Mar Minor, and Quentin Mill School Workshop
The Municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar today recognized the work of "caring and selfless" seven associations working to improve the living conditions of hundreds of pinatarenses.
The mayor, Jose Garcia, and City Council for Equality and Youth, Carmen Honrubia have handed the prizes to those who work with youth groups, disabled, cancer and other social groups in the municipality.
The mayor has emphasized the work of these associations, some of which, as Aideman and Red Cross, working for decades in the town, promoting social integration and employment of disabled persons with few resources, respectively.
Moreover, Garcia has been referred to the activities of the new youth associations set up by the municipality, as G +1, Majabuka Mar Menor or association which, from different areas, encourage youth participation and provide training and leisure alternatives.
It has highlighted the group effort "More to Life", formed by women who have had cancer and now help other sick to overcome this difficult time, and participating in various activities planned by the Department of Equality.
The event also wanted to reward the work of teachers and students of the School Quentin Mill Workshop, a training center that has successfully expanded job expectations of 27 young people.
In the event, held in the tent enabled Outlet Fair, Councillor for Equality, Trade and Youth has influenced the generosity and willingness of these groups.
In addition, Honrubia has ensured that since its council, will continue collaborating with these associations to maintain and improve the services offered in San Pedro del Pinatar.
For its part, the winners have appreciated the support shown by the Municipality for the development of their activities and are committed to continue working to help others.
