The City offers residents an urban organic garden plot (27/01/2011)

This land is divided into several parcels that will have a minimum area of 10 square meters and a maximum take up 50 square meters for each user, which will self-management, ecological techniques, for a time, which is 3 months to a year .

The program coordinator, Juan Carlos Blanco, said that the City shall "techniques are used to one hundred percent organic."

To do so, guidance will give a lecture on organic farming, create a nursery that supplied the plants and seeds to users, install a drip irrigation system, and will provide adequate manures and fertilizers to farmers.

Persons involved in this initiative will own vegetables obtained, they can use for own consumption, exchange with other producers or donate to NGOs.

In addition, contests are organized annually vegetables from growers.

These plots will be used mainly for growing vegetables, but also may be planted spices and other varieties, except for trees.
