The mayor, Jose Garcia, and director Cajamurcia office in San Pedro del Pinatar, Pedro Villa, today signed a collaboration agreement for the financing of the People's University courses in the municipality.
The Municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar and Cajamurcia Foundation have signed a collaboration agreement in 2011, under which the foundation funded with 18,000 euros and training courses organized by the People's University.
The mayor, Jose Garcia, and director of the office in the municipality Cajamurcia, Pedro Villa, have signed this agreement to promote training for the job and examine the achievements of the People's University, with over 2,000 students.
José García stressed the importance of the People's University, which in three years has managed to build in the municipality, training more than 2,000 pinatarenses through about 50 courses, with different levels, job-specific training, languages, computer , etc.
The mayor also emphasized that much of the programming of the People's University is directed to training for employment, a fundamental tool for incorporation into the working world.
In this regard, Pedro Villa has highlighted the importance of betting on training for the job, which ensures that unemployed people the skills and tools to qualify for new employment opportunities.
Also, Villa has stressed the important social work is done from this savings, "reinvesting part of their profits in a major role especially in these times with high unemployment rates and unemployment," he underlined.
Cajamurcia Foundation has collaborated with the City in funding for programming the VHS since its launch in 2008.
